Multi Pitch Course
General info
Required: Lead Certificate, Single Pitch Certificate
Structure:
– 3 indoor lessons of 4 hours (at Neoliet Tilburg)
– 1 outdoor weekend (includes the exam)
Cost:
– Student: €40 for the course (excluding entry fees at Neoliet Tilburg and the weekend costs)
– Non-Student: €55 for the course (excluding entry fees at Neoliet Tilburg and the weekend costs)
Estimated weekend cost: approx. €50 per person (this may vary)
Course content:
– Building anchors
– Belaying from anchors
– Belaying with HMS (Münter hitch)
– Abseiling over multiple rope lengths
– Rescue techniques (Hoist, Pursik ascending, De-loading guided belay devices)
Required personal equipment:
– Harness
– Climbing Shoes
– Prusik cord (1 meter)
– Prusik cord (3 meters)
– Prusik cord (5 meters)
– 2x Slings (120 cm) OR 1x Sling(120 cm) and a personal anchor
Other equipment (carabiners, belay device, helmet) can be borrowed free of charge from TilSAC.
Extra option:
If you think you can already do the activities that will be taught in the course you can only join the outdoor weekend in which the exam will take place. You will then pay 20 euros (Students and Non-Students) for the exam + the outdoor weekend costs.
Important: You need to discuss this with the climbing commissioner beforehand.
